You can now find her at Clearwater Acupuncture.
Marjorie has been in full-time clinical practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture since 2004, with special interest in the following areas:
- General health issues and Prevention
- Stress-related and Emotional Issues
- Chronic Pain Conditions
- Female conditions
- Pediatrics
Her depth of understanding of Classical Chinese Medical concepts and her continuing studies with some of the finest teachers in her field allows Marjorie to create customized treatments for the individual patient, with an emphasis on treating ‘root causes’ rather than a focus only on symptomatic relief. Marjorie is results-oriented and has proven her skills both clinically and interpersonally with her patients.
Marjorie uses traditional techniques including acupuncture, acupressure, TCM herbal therapy, tui na (Chinese medical massage), gua sha, shonishin (needle-less pediatric treatment), cupping, auricular acupuncture, and scalp acupuncture. Acupuncture therapy is further supported with dietary and lifestyle advice, and instruction in self-care techniques such as meditation, mudras, self-acupressure and qi gong, as needed or requested.
A medical technologist for more than 20 years, Marjorie returned to university in the late 90’s, earning a BA in Sociology (with distinction). She then attended the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, graduating in 2004.
